We've been on the road a lot lately, and I haven't had time to update the blog with tales of our travels. After finals were finally over, Mom, Dad, and Lillybug headed to San Diego for our first vacation in two years. We had a great time, although Lillian was teething, jet lagged, and a bit freaked out by the experience of living in a new house for a week. It was a great to have a change of scenery, but we were all glad to get home. Lillian was ecstatic to be back with her toys. Mommy and Daddy were ecstatic to be back home where Lillian didn't feel the need to be held 24-7.
Here is a picture of Lillian running around the condo with her balloon from Trader Joes.

We had a nice (short!) visit to the zoo, which was really convenience with Lillian in her new Ergo carrier (thanks for the recommendation
K).

We had a great visit with Aunt Care, Uncle Johnny, and the cousins
Addie, Jenn, and Kevin. All our pictures from those visits are on another memory card which I left at home (we're in Iowa now), so I'll have to post those next week.
Just as we were coming home from California we got word that Avery's
Grandpa passed away. Hulen was a brilliant man and a wonderful grandfather. Last Tuesday, Mom and Dad hopped a plane to Baton Rouge for a really touching service. It was a short trip, we were home in enough time to put the baby to bed.

We'll miss you Grandpa. Give
Virginia a big hug and kiss from all of us.
